My Watercolor Journey: From Beginner to Teaching on Skillshare
I want to share something special with all of you who love watercolor. Five years ago, I felt the urge to return to what I loved most as a child—painting and drawing. But there was one small problem: I hadn’t picked up a brush in years! I was drawn to watercolor, but I had no idea where to start—what materials to use, how to paint, or even how to mix colors.
That’s when I discovered Skillshare, an online learning platform with thousands of creative classes. I signed up and started watching watercolor tutorials, experimenting with different techniques, and learning from amazing teachers. What I loved most was the flexibility—it allowed me to pause, rewatch, and learn at my own pace.
At that time, I realized there weren’t many watercolor courses in Spanish, my native language. I told myself, one day, when I know watercolor well, I will create classes in Spanish to help others like me. And now, five years later, that dream has come true!
With the help of my sister (who edits my videos because I’m terrible at it!), we have published our first two watercolor courses on Skillshare in Spanish. But the great thing is that Skillshare also offers captions in multiple languages, making it accessible to many more people.
I want to invite you to take advantage of Skillshare—not just for my classes, but for all the incredible courses available. To get you started, I’m offering a one-month free trial so you can explore and learn as much as you want.
Here is the link to try it for one month free: https://www.skillshare.com/en/r/user/flayenacuarelas
If you’ve ever wanted to start painting with watercolors or improve your skills, this is the perfect opportunity. I hope to see you there!
Happy painting,
Flavia
